Affordable Asbestos Removal Cardiff

In the past, Artex ceilings were a popular choice for many homes and buildings in Caerphilly, Cardiff, and surrounding areas. However, it has since been discovered that many of these textured ceilings contain asbestos, a hazardous material that poses serious health risks when disturbed. If you're a homeowner or property manager in Caerphilly, it's essential to take the necessary steps to ensure your Artex ceiling is safe and asbestos-free.

Artex is a type of textured coating that was widely used in the UK from the 1950s to the 1980s. It was applied to ceilings to create a decorative finish and to help with soundproofing and insulation. Unfortunately, many Artex products contained asbestos, which was added to improve their strength and durability.

Asbestos is a highly toxic substance that can cause serious health problems, including lung cancer, mesothelioma, and asbestosis. When asbestos-containing Artex is disturbed, the fibers can become airborne, posing a significant risk to anyone in the surrounding area.

If you suspect that your Artex ceiling contains asbestos, it's crucial to have it removed by a licensed and experienced asbestos removal company like Helix Environmental Ltd, trading as Affordable Asbestos Removal Cardiff. Our team of experts will assess the situation and develop a safe and efficient removal plan.

Our asbestos removal process involves several stages, including:

1. Initial assessment: We'll inspect your Artex ceiling to determine if it contains asbestos.
2. Containment: We'll seal off the area to prevent asbestos fibers from spreading.
3. Removal: Our team will carefully remove the asbestos-containing Artex, taking care to minimize disturbance.
