Affordable Asbestos Removal Cardiff

As a leading asbestos removal company in Caerphilly, Affordable Asbestos Removal Cardiff, trading as Helix Environmental Ltd, is often asked about the regulations surrounding asbestos testing in the area. In this article, we will explore the requirements for contractors to test for asbestos in Caerphilly and the surrounding areas.

According to the Control of Asbestos Regulations 2012, it is a legal requirement for contractors to test for asbestos in any building that was constructed before 2000. This includes houses, flats, offices, and industrial units, such as those found on Van Road or Nantgarw Road in Caerphilly.

Contractors who plan to work on a building that may contain asbestos must hold a valid asbestos removal licence. This licence is issued by the Health and Safety Executive (HSE) and requires the contractor to demonstrate their competence in asbestos removal and disposal.

If you are planning to renovate your house in Caerphilly, it is essential to test for asbestos before starting work. Asbestos can be found in a variety of materials, including Artex ceilings, floor tiles, and insulation. Our team at Helix Environmental Ltd can provide a comprehensive asbestos survey to identify any potential risks.
