Affordable Asbestos Removal Cardiff

Asbestos is a hazardous material that was widely used in construction and building materials until its ban in 1999. However, it can still be found in many properties in Caerphilly, particularly those built before the 1980s. If you're a homeowner, landlord, or property developer in Caerphilly, it's essential to understand the risks associated with asbestos and the importance of having an asbestos survey.

An asbestos survey is a critical step in identifying and managing asbestos-containing materials (ACMs) in your property. The survey helps to determine the presence, location, and condition of ACMs, which is crucial for ensuring the safety and health of occupants, workers, and the general public.

A comprehensive asbestos survey involves a thorough inspection of your property, including all areas where asbestos may be present, such as textured ceilings, walls, and floors. Our experienced surveyors at Helix Environmental Ltd will use specialized equipment to collect samples, which are then analyzed in a laboratory to determine the presence of asbestos.

According to the Control of Asbestos Regulations 2012, you must have an asbestos survey if you're planning to carry out any work that may disturb asbestos-containing materials. This includes renovation, demolition, or maintenance work. If you're unsure whether you need an asbestos survey, it's always best to err on the side of caution and consult with a qualified asbestos surveyor.

The Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) recommends that all properties built before 2000 should have an asbestos survey. This is because asbestos was widely used in construction materials during this period, and it's likely that some ACMs may still be present.

If asbestos is found in your property, our team at Helix Environmental Ltd can provide safe and efficient removal and disposal services. We also offer enclosure services, which involve sealing off areas where asbestos is present to prevent fiber release.

In addition to asbestos surveys, we also offer air testing services to determine the presence of asbestos fibers in the air. This is an essential step in ensuring the safety of occupants and workers.

At Helix Environmental Ltd, we understand the importance of property safety and health. Our team is dedicated to providing expert asbestos surveying services to help you manage asbestos risks and ensure compliance with regulations.
