Affordable Asbestos Removal Cardiff

Asbestos floor tiles were a common feature in many buildings in Caerphilly, Cardiff, and surrounding areas, particularly in the mid-20th century. However, the discovery of the health risks associated with asbestos has led to a significant increase in asbestos removal projects. At Helix Environmental Ltd, trading as Affordable Asbestos Removal Cardiff, we specialize in asbestos removal and disposal, including asbestos floor tile removal.

Asbestos floor tiles contain asbestos fibres, which can become airborne and cause serious health problems, including lung cancer and mesothelioma. When asbestos floor tiles are damaged or disturbed, the fibres can be released into the air, posing a significant risk to human health.

Removing asbestos floor tiles requires a high level of expertise and specialized equipment. At Helix Environmental, our team of professionals follows a strict protocol to ensure safe and compliant removal. The process involves:

1. Inspection and Testing: Our team conducts a thorough inspection of the area to identify the presence of asbestos and assess the condition of the tiles.
2. Containment: We set up a containment area to prevent the spread of asbestos fibres to other parts of the building.
3. Removal: Our team uses specialized equipment, including negative pressure units, to safely remove the asbestos floor tiles.
4. Disposal: The removed asbestos tiles are carefully packaged and transported to a licensed waste disposal facility.

Our team uses a range of materials and equipment to ensure safe and compliant asbestos removal, including:

• Negative pressure units to prevent the spread of asbestos fibres
• Personal protective equipment (PPE) to protect our team from exposure
• Specialized tools and equipment to safely remove the asbestos floor tiles
• Containment materials, such as polythene sheeting and tape, to prevent the spread of asbestos fibres

Asbestos removal is a highly specialized process that requires a high level of expertise and training. Attempting to remove asbestos floor tiles without proper training and equipment can lead to serious health risks and non-compliance with regulations. At Helix Environmental, our team has over 10 years of experience in asbestos removal and disposal, and we pride ourselves on our excellent response time and extensive technical knowledge.

Our asbestos removal services are fully compliant with the Control of Asbestos Regulations 2012 document and HSE guidelines. We ensure that all asbestos removal projects are carried out in accordance with these regulations to ensure safe and compliant removal.
