Affordable Asbestos Removal Cardiff

Asbestos ducting is a common feature in many older buildings in Caerphilly, and its removal requires careful planning and execution to ensure safety. At Helix Environmental Ltd, we specialize in asbestos removal and have over 10 years of experience in safely removing asbestos ducting in Caerphilly and surrounding areas.

Asbestos ducting is typically made from a combination of asbestos cement and other materials. The asbestos cement is often mixed with other substances, such as aggregate, to create a durable and fire-resistant material. However, when asbestos ducting is damaged or deteriorated, it can release hazardous asbestos fibers into the air, posing a significant risk to human health.

Removing asbestos ducting requires specialized training, equipment, and techniques to prevent the release of asbestos fibers. Our team at Helix Environmental Ltd follows strict guidelines and protocols to ensure safe removal. We use personal protective equipment (PPE), including respirators, gloves, and suits, to prevent exposure to asbestos fibers.

1. Inspection and Assessment: Our team inspects the asbestos ducting to determine its condition and identifies any potential risks or hazards.
2. Containment: We set up a containment area to prevent asbestos fibers from spreading to other parts of the building.
3. Removal: We carefully remove the asbestos ducting, taking care to avoid damaging the material and releasing asbestos fibers.
4. Disposal: We dispose of the asbestos ducting and other materials in accordance with the Control of Asbestos Regulations 2012 and the Hazardous Waste Regulations.

When removing asbestos ducting, we also consider other materials that may be affected, such as:

• Downpipes: We ensure that downpipes are properly sealed to prevent asbestos fibers from entering the drainage system.
• Tiles and Panels: We carefully remove tiles and panels that may contain asbestos to prevent damage and fiber release.
• Insulation: We inspect and remove insulation materials that may contain asbestos.
• Air Conditioning and Ventilation Systems: We ensure that these systems are properly shut down and isolated to prevent asbestos fibers from spreading.

At Helix Environmental Ltd, we pride ourselves on our excellent response time, extensive technical knowledge, and commitment to safety. We are fully insured for all types of asbestos removal and testing jobs, and our team is trained to the highest standards.
