Affordable Asbestos Removal Cardiff

At Helix Environmental Ltd, we specialize in providing expert asbestos removal services to clients in Caerphilly, Cardiff, and surrounding areas. While many asbestos removal projects require a license, there are certain types of work that are exempt from this requirement.

According to the Control of Asbestos Regulations 2012, some types of asbestos work do not require a license. These include:

• The removal of asbestos-containing materials (ACMs) from a single private house or residential unit, where the work is carried out by the homeowner or a contractor working directly for the homeowner.
• The removal of asbestos-containing textured coatings (such as Artex ceilings) from a single private house or residential unit, where the work is carried out by a trained and competent person.
• The removal of asbestos-containing materials from a small, non-licensed asbestos removal project, where the work is carried out by a trained and competent person and the total amount of asbestos removed does not exceed 10 square meters.

While a license may not be required for these types of asbestos removal work, it is still essential that the person carrying out the work is trained and competent to do so. At Helix Environmental Ltd, our team members have completed UKATA-approved training, which ensures that they have the necessary knowledge and skills to safely remove asbestos-containing materials.
