Affordable Asbestos Removal Cardiff

Asbestos has been a part of construction materials for centuries, but it wasn't until the mid-20th century that its use became widespread in domestic buildings. In the UK, asbestos was commonly used in homes, particularly in the 1950s to 1980s, in materials such as Artex ceilings, insulation, and fireproofing.

As the dangers of asbestos became more apparent, the UK government introduced regulations to manage its use and removal. In 1985, the UK banned the use of blue and brown asbestos, and in 1999, the use of all types of asbestos was prohibited. However, many homes built before these bans still contain asbestos-containing materials (ACMs).

In response to the growing concern about asbestos in domestic properties, the UK government introduced the Control of Asbestos Regulations 2006, which required homeowners and landlords to manage asbestos in their properties. This led to an increase in demand for domestic asbestos surveys in Caerphilly and surrounding areas.

This helps to minimize the risk of asbestos exposure and ensure compliance with UK regulations.
